The Easy Red 7 Count is an easy unbalanced card counting system developed by Arnold Snyder. The card counting system is easier to learn than compared to the Hi-Lo and other unbalanced card counting systems. The system keeps track of the low cards (Cards good for the house) and high cards (cards good for the player).

The system takes note of the Ace and it is assigned with a point value of -1 and it also considers the numbers of decks used in the variation. Hence, to effectively make use of the Easy Red 7 Count, a player would have to know the number of decks used in the variation.
The system has an 80% potential gain and it is a system that can easily be adopted by new players as it only keeps track of the running count to depict when the shoe deck is high card or low card rich.

Red Seven Count

Aces and tens are assigned a negative point value of -1 while low cards have a positive point value of +1. In this system, the Red 7 is assigned a positive point value +1 while the black 7 is neutral. The neutral cards are Black 7, 8 and 9.

The Point values of the THE EASY RED 7 COUNT are as follows

Point Value+1+1+1+1+1+1000-1-1

The major difference with the Easy Red 7 Count and other unbalanced card counting systems is that its initial Running Count (IRC) varies according the decks used in the variation. The IRC is determined by multiplying -2 with the number of decks.

No. of Decks1268
IRC-2-4-12-16

Hence, when the deck is reshuffled, if playing a variation of 8 decks, your IRC should be -16 and you proceed to keep track of the IRC as cards are dealt on the table. Thus a high negative IRC indicates that more high cards have been dealt leaving the deck low card rich. However, which negative IRC in a variation of 8 Deck would indicate an 80% success of low cards remaining in the shoe deck? For instance, a negative IRC of -32 would be clear to the player that the deck is now low card rich at which you can reduce your bet size because the player is more likely to bust than the house. On the other hand, if the IRC is 0 this would indicate that the shoe deck is now high card rich at which you can increase your bet size and the dealer is more likely to bust in such situations.

High Red Blood Cell Count

Overview

What is high red blood cell count?

Red blood cells are one of the major components of blood, along with white blood cells and platelets. Red blood cells help carry oxygen throughout the body.

Doctors measure your red blood cell count to help diagnose medical conditions and learn more about your health. A high red blood cell count means the number of red blood cells in your bloodstream is higher than normal. Normal red blood cell counts are:

  • For men, 4.7 to 6.1 million red blood cells per microliter of blood
  • For women, 4.2 to 5.4 million red blood cells per microliter of blood
  • For children, 4.0 to 5.5 million red blood cells per microliter of blood

Doctors typically find a high red blood cell count during tests for another health issue. You may need more tests to determine what’s causing the higher levels. These may include tests to look for conditions that cause your body to produce too many red blood cells, such as heart failure, or disorders that restrict your oxygen supply, such as sleep apnea.

Possible Causes

What causes a high red blood cell count?

A high red blood cell count may be a symptom of a disease or disorder, although it doesn’t always indicate a health problem. Health or lifestyle factors can cause a high red blood cell count.

Medical conditions that can cause an increase in red blood cells include:

  • Heart failure, causing low blood oxygen levels
  • Congenital heart disease (born with it)
  • Polycythemia vera (a blood disorder in which the bone marrow produces too many red blood cells)
  • Kidney tumors
  • Lung disease, such as emphysema, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis (lung tissue becomes scarred)
  • Hypoxia (low blood oxygen levels)
  • Carbon monoxide exposure (usually related to smoking)

Lifestyle factors that can cause a high red blood cell count include:

Care and Treatment

How is a high red blood cell count treated?

If a medical condition is causing a high red blood cell count, your doctor may recommend a procedure or medication to lower it.

In a procedure called a phlebotomy, a health professional inserts a needle into your vein and drains blood through a tube into a bag or container. You might need to have this procedure on a repeated basis until your red blood cell level is close to normal.

If you are diagnosed with the bone marrow disease polycythemia vera, your doctor may also prescribe a medicine called hydroxyurea to slow your body’s production of red blood cells. You’ll need to see your doctor regularly while taking hydroxyurea to be sure your red blood cell level does not drop too low.
